In this guide, we will explain how to use Play Emulator to run PS2 games on IOS:
Step 1: Download Emulator
As I mentioned above, there are tons of different emulators available on the internet that you can install and use to play PS2 games on your iOS device.
From these emulators, Play is one of the best emulators that you can use to play PS2 games on your iOS device.
This emulator has a user-friendly interface that allows players to play the games without any issues.
To download Play Emulator on an iOS device, use the steps written below:
- Open your Safari browser.
- Click on the search box and search “Play Emulator GitHub”.
- Now, search for it and it will show you multiple results.
- From these results select the first website.

- Here, click on the “purei.org” link on the right-hand side.
- This will take you to the actual Play Emulator website.
- Here, select the “Downloads” tab at the top.
- Under this tab, select the “iOS” option under the Automated Builds section.

- Then select “Download” from the pop-up menu.

- This will start downloading the Play Emulator file.
- That’s it.
Step 2: Sideload Emulator
Once you successfully download the Play Emulator file, the next thing you can do is install it on your iOS device.
Since Play Emulator is downloaded from third-party resources, you can’t directly install it on your iOS device.
To install this emulator on your iOS device, you need to sideload it. There are tons of different side loader tools available you can use any of them and sideload the Play Emulator.
In our case, we are using the TrollStore to sideload the Play Emulator on iOS. You can also use the eSign iOS app to sideload the Play Emulator IPA file.
To sideload the Play Emulator using TrollStore, use the steps written below:
- First download and install the TrollStore on your iOS device.
- Then open it and click on the “+” icon at the top right corner.
- From the pop-up menu, select “Install IPA File”.

- Now, navigate to the download location and select the Play Emulator IPA file.
- Then, click “Install” and it will start installing the emulator on your device.

- That’s it.
Step 3: Add ISO File
After installing the Play Emulator, you need to add the ISO files of the games you want to play.
To do so, use the steps written below:
- First, download the ISO file of the game you want to play.
- Then, open the Play Emulator so that it will create all the necessary folders.
- Now, minimize the emulator and open the “Files” app.
- Here you will see the “Play” folder.
- Now, extract the game file that you have downloaded.
- Then open the “Extracted Folder” and you will see the “ISO” file of the game.
- Now, tap and hold the ISO file and select “Move” from the menu.

- After that, open the Play folder and move the ISO file inside this folder.
- Make sure to move the ISO file directly into the Play folder without creating any sub-folders.
- That’s it.
Step 4: Play the Game
Once you successfully add the ISO file inside the Play Emulator folder, you will be able to play the game.
To start playing the game on your iOS device using Play Emulator use the steps written below.
- Open the Play Emulator.
- Then select “Settings” at the top right corner.

- Under settings, select the “Rescan Device for Games” option.

- Once you do that, it will scan the device and load the game that you just added into the Play folder.
- However, if you click on the game and try to launch it it will show you a pop-up that says “JIT Unavailable”.
- If you click “Continue” it will crash the emulator.

- To fix this issue and play the game without any issues, open the TrollStore app.
- Then click on the “Play Emulator”.
- From the menu, select “Open with JIT”.

- This will launch the emulator and if you click continue it won’t crash the emulator and you will be able to play the game.
